Fox News did it again (3x)
March 24, 2008I couldn’t believe it. Just mere hours after I attacked Fox News for having a history of inviting ONE conservative guest to talk about an issue without inviting a progressive guest on… they provided me with another example:
5:00PM ET/PT: America’s Election Headquarters w/ Megyn Kelly and Bill Hemmer
Megyn Kelly introduced the segment as "unbelievable… unbelievable." She called it "this behavior."
It was a story about the "Catholic School girls against the war" who went into a church on Easter with fake blood, squirted it on themselves, and yelled what Kelly called "anti-war slogans and so on."
She invited on ONE CONSERVATIVE analyst to discuss the story. None other than former REPUBLICAN congressan from Ohio, John Kasich. There was no balance. There was no Mary Ann Marsh or Jane Hall, not that that would have helped anyway.
Fox News CORRESPONDENT Megyn Kelly said "…there churchgoers are there just trying to observe Easter and then we see this REDICULOUS protest where they start yelling out anti-war slogans and so on."
AND perhaps the most SHOCKING thing about what Kelly said was a "Fair and Balanced" logo was running in the bottom right hand corner of the screen DIRECTLY AS SHE SAID IT!!! LOL
Kelly seemed to become a "commentator" instead of "correspondent" as she said "ya" to what republican analyst John Kasich was saying. She said "ya" more than once!
Megyn Kelly called Jane Fonda’s protest to the Vietnam war "antics."
Kelly went on to say that she would "stay on this."
Another question is why on earth does Fox see fit to express outrage about an anti-war protest during a show called "America’s Election HQ" yet does not see fit to cover the milestone of the US reaching 4,000 military deaths in Iraq today.
RuhRoh! As I’m typing… they did it AGAIN!!!
They invited on REPUBLICAN radio talk show host Michael Smerconish to discuss Obama’s pastor yet again.
The evidence is right in front of you. Everything I have said here was during the FIRST SEGMENT of their 5:00PM program today. A program in which they have a "fair and balanced" logo running in bottom right.
I’m just gonna wait before I create this topic and finish out the segment to see if they do it again.
AND THEY DID!
In the tease, Bill Hemmer said that coming up they would check in with republican Laura Ingraham to get her take on the day’s news.
