Fox News did it again (3x)

March 24, 2008

I couldn’t believe it. Just mere hours after I attacked Fox News for having a history of inviting ONE conservative guest to talk about an issue without inviting a progressive guest on… they provided me with another example:

5:00PM ET/PT: America’s Election Headquarters w/ Megyn Kelly and Bill Hemmer

Megyn Kelly introduced the segment as "unbelievable… unbelievable." She called it "this behavior."

It was a story about the "Catholic School girls against the war" who went into a church on Easter with fake blood, squirted it on themselves, and yelled what Kelly called "anti-war slogans and so on."

She invited on ONE CONSERVATIVE analyst to discuss the story. None other than former REPUBLICAN congressan from Ohio, John Kasich. There was no balance. There was no Mary Ann Marsh or Jane Hall, not that that would have helped anyway.

Fox News CORRESPONDENT Megyn Kelly said "…there churchgoers are there just trying to observe Easter and then we see this REDICULOUS protest where they start yelling out anti-war slogans and so on."

AND perhaps the most SHOCKING thing about what Kelly said was a "Fair and Balanced" logo was running in the bottom right hand corner of the screen DIRECTLY AS SHE SAID IT!!! LOL

Kelly seemed to become a "commentator" instead of "correspondent" as she said "ya" to what republican analyst John Kasich was saying. She said "ya" more than once!

Megyn Kelly called Jane Fonda’s protest to the Vietnam war "antics."

Kelly went on to say that she would "stay on this."

Another question is why on earth does Fox see fit to express outrage about an anti-war protest during a show called "America’s Election HQ" yet does not see fit to cover the milestone of the US reaching 4,000 military deaths in Iraq today.

RuhRoh! As I’m typing… they did it AGAIN!!!

They invited on REPUBLICAN radio talk show host Michael Smerconish to discuss Obama’s pastor yet again.

The evidence is right in front of you. Everything I have said here was during the FIRST SEGMENT of their 5:00PM program today. A program in which they have a "fair and balanced" logo running in bottom right.

I’m just gonna wait before I create this topic and finish out the segment to see if they do it again.

AND THEY DID!

In the tease, Bill Hemmer said that coming up they would check in with republican Laura Ingraham to get her take on the day’s news.

Michael saves “Never Never Land”

March 14, 2008

Sources have told me that Michael Jackson has saved his beloved "Never Never land" from auction.  My sources tell me he hasn’t been there since June 30, 2005.

Larry Knows: O Baloney

March 5, 2008

How can Obama run on the oh… I voted agianst the Iraq war, I had the courage and conviction that nobody else had… I saw into the future… my crystal ball doesn’t stink… I knew more than the CIA… I knew they didn’t have weapons… etc, bla…

Well… if thats really true… why did you vote for $300Billion dollars in funding for the war? Why did you vote to fund the war if you voted agianst it? If there was no reason to be in Iraq and if the real battlefield is Afganistan… than why vote for $300Billion in funding?

Larry Knows: Obama is a blockhead

You wanna hear what an arrogant, smug, little blockhead Obama is?  This was at a dinner.  He was in a suit.  I already didn’t like him much - but this did it.  This is when I really started hating Barack Obama.  It was in New Hampshire.  This is his mindset, and his outlook, and his elitest yuppy way.

"One of the great pleasures of running for president has been to go to some tiny town in Iowa and you’ve got some guy in overalls and a seat hat say… what do you think about the situation in Burma?… and you’re thinking that hes gonna ask you about corn… but he asks you about Burma." - Barack Obama

What a blockhead!  That is what turned me!  Can we save that on my wall?  Can we call it "Obama the blockhead?"  He thinks he is so much better.  Oh… he’s wearing overalls and a seat hat and yet he knows what Burma is.  That just did it.  That was the straw that broke the camels back.

Barack Obama just couldn’t believe that a farmer in overalls even heard of Burma.  Thats the straw that broke the camels back for me.

The Great Obama

Barack Obama reminds me of my sister.  Because he is a sneak.  He is such a sneak.  This guy walks around, hes holier than now… he doesn’t stink.  He is so above the fray.  And yet his surrogates… the people speaking for his campagin are running around spouting off utter lies and untruths about the Clintons.  But he isn’t.  Hes not saying a word because he never even mentions the Clintons.  Hes beyond the Clintons… hes beyond everything.

Hes just so far above us… "The Great Obama."  But his surrogates are.  So to me thats a sneaky person.  Thats a sneak.  Because hes not doing it… but hes sending other people out to do it so he can deny hes doing it.  And it is cynical, and it is manipulative, and it is just the kind of politics that of course Mr. Obama The Great says he eschews.

He rejects that kind of politics.  Thats the old politics of division.  I’m not for the old politics of division like that old Mrs. Hillary.  But of course this is all being orchestrated from his campaign.

This guy… he is just the worst person on earth… he really is.  He is so horrible, so evil, so vicious, so sneaky, so nasty, so arrogant, so elitist, such a trouble maker.

So I’ll take you on… you little blockhead.  I’ll take you on.

If anybody else said this…

"I would have to investigate more… Bill’s [Clinton] dancing abilities, some of this other stuff before I accurately judged wether he was in fact a brother." - Barack Obama

That was so racist.  I couldn’t believe he said that.  I really couldn’t.  Is Bill gonna go out dancing now with Barack?  Hes such a prep school blockhead.  Thats what he is… did he go to prep school?

I could think of several other things to say.

Larry Knows: Experience on Iraq

Welcome to the first edition of "Larry Knows."  This is where I will be offering the top politcal strategy in the business to all of the canidates - both republicans and democrats.  I will NOT take an opinion.  Sometimes I will say things that I do not personally agree with.  Thats what some politcal strategists do.  Some republicans offer advice to democrats.  Some democrats offer advice to republicans.  Please do not take anything I say and say to yourself "Oh, thats what Larry Harriet thinks" or "Thats who Larry supports," because I am not revealing to anyone who I support.  I am not saying it publically.

This is simply politcal strategy that I feel is better than what the canidates are getting now.  The advice I am giving is better and more valuable to the canidates than the advice they are getting from these campaign managers they are paying millions of dollars to.  For this series, I will be giving advice to democratic canidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama who are in an all out war for the nomination and John McCain, who today just won the nomination of the republican party.

Hillary:  Obama has no experience

In order to stop the Obama maina, you have to get the public to believe that he not only cannot win the general election but that he also does not have the experience to run this country in a time of war.  Obama is running on the platform that he had the courage and conviction to oppose the Iraq war from the start.  Yet, he voted for $300Billion dollars in funding for it.  You have to bring that up to the public’s attention.

This is a man with less than two years experience in Congress.  This is a man who accomplished nothing while he was in the senate.  You’ve got to explain that to the public.  If you don’t you’ll just be walking into his trap.

Obama:  Experience maybe… Decision making skills?  not so much

In order for you to defeat Hillary, you have to explain to the public that while she screams from the mountain tops that she has "35 years of experience…" she may not have the decision making skills to make the right decisions in a time of war.

She said that Saddam Hussein should "disarm or be disarmed."  Is she gonna say that other world leaders who probably don’t have weapons of mass destruction like Saddam?  How many lives will that cost?  How much money?  How many more wars?

You need to say simply that is a choice we "simply can’t afford to make."

John McCain:  Lay out the BEST strategy for Iraq

According to accounts even by the New York Times, the surge in Iraq seems to be working.  Deaths have gone down, violence has gone down, and their is more nomal attributes to daily life.  In order to win, you need to come up with BEST strategy for Iraq.  You need to come up with one that gets our troops out as soon as you can humanly possibly can but also leaves Iraq stable.

You need to relate this back to main street USA.  You need to explain to Americans why a stable Iraq keeps them safe.  You need to say why Americans should feel safer in New York City because of what we’re doing in Iraq.

You need to say that cutting and running will have consequences to the safety of Americans.  That it will but Americans in danger on American soil.

Larry Knows: The Kickoff

March 4, 2008

Today I am offically launching a new segment here on "Harriet Country" called "Larry Knows" where I will be offering the canidates of both parties advice on how to win in 2008.  The segment will be featured here in "Harriet Country" as well in my weekly column "Culter Dogs."

MSNBC should have a legal show

I am very disappointed that MSNBC devotes 4 hours a day to broadcasting crockumentaries and I really think they need to add a legal show to their lineup. They used to have two, Dan Abrams and Rita Cosby… but now they have zero. Dan’s new show used to do a tiny bit of legal reporting at the end but they’ve since dropped that in favor of more election coverage.

I honestly believe people are gonna get so sick of this election because the media is driving it into the ground that they will not want to vote.

I’d like to see at least one legal show fill up one of those empty timeslots. They look like a very un-credible news organization if they don’t cover all the genres of journalism.

I think Catherine Crier would be a good host. She used to work at Court TV before they fired her. She’s filled in for Dan Abrams and Joe Scarborough before on MSNBC.

I also think Susan Filan, Wendy Murphy, or Diane Dimond would make excellent hosts.

I also think CNN needs one. They could put it on at 11, considering they just re-air Cooper’s show.

Defending Nancy - round two!

March 3, 2008

I think your making a way bigger thing of this than it is. Nancy is a legal analyst. She has the right to analyze a case any way she wants to. The majority of her fans are people with good hearts who want the best for victims and want dangerous killers off the streets. I think the majority believe in freedom of speech… and that is what Nancy is exercising every night.

About you attacking her over the recollection Nancy has about her fiance’s murder it just shows that you are not realizing what a traumatic experience that was in Nancy’s life. She doesn’t even remember going to the courthouse. Its a blur to her because we block out painful memories, thats just human nature. So, if her facts are a little off its not because shes trying to pull a fast one on you. Its just simply, she doesn’t remember because the experience was so absolutely traumatic.

Shes not wrong in her predictions. Like when she predicts guilty and the jury says innocent… the jury is wrong!

Nancy was analyzing the Elizabeth Smart case as a legal analyst. She had every right to point out and call attention to a person she thought was suspect. And there were many reasons why he was suspect in many people’s eyes.

About Duke, Nancy’s not allowed to take a day off from her show? Wow! Tough regimen you’ve got going on there. And about Duke… I hate that the media has completely freed those players from any responsibilty whatsoever. When in reality, if they hadn’t gone to that party and hadn’t hired a stripper… something they should of never been doing… none of this would of happened. Yet the media just slaps the label of "innocent," "falsely accused," and "rush to judgement" on them and off they go. Whereas, if they would do their jobs… maybe these 3 boys could learn something about how to not get into this kind of mess agian. And maybe the media could educate other kids that you don’t go around doing the kinds of things these kids were doing because look at the mess it can lead you into. Those Duke boys have nobody to blame but themselves.

Monkey see no evil, Money hear no evil

March 2, 2008

I think the bigger show of disrespect of human tragedy is the fact that the autorities are dragging their feat! You do not need a body to prosecute. They swore, they took an oath to protect the public. Everyday Drew reamins free, the public is unsafe. He could strike agian at any moment. We already know hes looking for dates.

But enough about the behavior of Drew because thats not the story… the story is that Stacy is missing and LE has failed to find her. Much worse, they’ve failed to charge Drew when they have evidence of double homicide!

Celebrities - How to get on the Harriet A-List!

I’m not talking about the celebrities that donate to their corrupt politican of choice just to advance their own political agenda.  I am talking about the celebrities that donate to crime victims, charities, organizations that seek to stop child abuse and bring missing people home, people who inform others on how to protect themsleves from criminals, donate to a missing person’s fund, etc.

THATS HOW YOU GET ON THE HARRIET A-LIST!

Defending Nancy Grace

Nancy is a legal analyst. She doesn’t claim to be a jounalist. She doesn’t have to be fair to all sides. She can say whatever she wants about whatever case she wants. She can say someone is guilty even if the jury says no. She has the right to her opinion and in America, we have the right to express those opinions.

With that said, anybody has the right to disagree with her as well.

I have had it up to here with the media elites who say that journalists can’t give their opinion. We live in the new millenium… this isn’t the 1800’s anymore. Everybody has an opinion and I wanna hear it. I don’t care that we may disagree. The reality is, I want to know what you are thinking.

I have a real problem with people who say that journalists cannot tell their viewers what they really believe about a story. Our whole jury system is based upon what you believe in your moral heart and reasonable head. Journalists have every right to tell people what they believe. And I don’t believe that makes them biased… its makes them better journalists. You can express what you believe one minute and give both sides the next. It has absolutely no bearing on your ability to report the facts.

Thats what I BELIEVE!

Unborn child attempted murder case, Alba news, American Idol, The Simpsons

March 1, 2008

Gil Magira, a British millionarie is to be setenced Friday for trying to kill his his wife’s unborn child, Matan.  Fortunately, he was unsucessful and Matan was born on June 20th, 2007.  Law enforcement contacts tell me Gil Magira hid the poisionus pills into yogurt and a sandwich that his wife would eat.  Courtroom sources tell me this man could recieve life behind bars for his crime.  Sources close to the mother told me she was shocked at the news that her husband was trying to kill her unborn child and she thought he was not capable of such an act.  I guess she was wrong.

Sources I have close to actress superstar Jessica Alba tell me that despite reports, she is not having twins.  According to my source, Alba is happy with one baby.

"American Idol" sources tell me that the show is planning a "Beatle" night featuring songs from Paul McCartney and John Lennon.  Sources tell me that not only Sony will be getting paid for the preformances but Michael Jackson will get paid a small amount of money as well.

Sources tell me that Joe Simpson, father of music artist Ashlee Simpson was spotted with his daughter at the Clive Davis Grammies.  It was not just the two of them.  Ashlee’s boyfriend, Pete Wentz was there too.  Some tabloids have been reporting that Ashlee has been spotted wearing a diamond ring.  Sources tell me the ring is only a promise ring between Ashlee and Pete.

No charges, no prosecution, no conviction - Lisa Stebic

Susan, thankyou for bringing some very much needed attention to this case. I am very upset the media hasn’t been covering this case like they should be. And unfortunately, I think this is just another fine example of authorities dragging their feat, being lazy, and letting the evidence come to them instead of getting out there in the thick of it, in the mud and getting the evidence themselves. A lot of time has passed and they have done nothing.

I do not care if they have no body. Proseuctors win convictions everyday in courtrooms all across this country without a body. Will it be an uphill battle? You bet! Will it be really tough on the prosecutors? Absolutely. But they are public servants who swore to protect the public and we cannot afford to have Lisa’s killer on the streets one moment longer. We cannot afford allowing him to strike agian. We owe it to his next victim to get him off the streets now.

The Celebrity Treatment

February 29, 2008

You know… you have a good point and I wanted to believe that. But just think about how lady justice was tricked in the Robert Blake case. I was sure the jury could care less about Beretta and wouldn’t know Robert Blake from the moon. But I had to eat crow on that because the jury proved to be starstruck.

Just because these celebrities are not "on the scene" like an OJ or Michael Jackson does not mean that they are still not celebrities. It does not mean that the judges don’t still give them celebrity treatment in their rulings. And its starstriking to the jury because of who they are, the people they bring into the courtroom, and the people they associate themselves with.

Just think of all the great singers Court TV had on during the trial that testifed to Phil Spector’s character (and why Court TV is bringing that in during a criminal trial makes no sense to me)… but don’t tell me that the juries don’t go home and watch the television coverage of the cases and read the newspapers.

Even if they had not known Phil Spector before, they quickly learned… theres a celebrity in the courtroom!

From what my sources told me, 11 of the 12 prevailed in the jury room to hand down the right verdict. At one point it was 11 to 1 to convict, at another point it was 10 to 1 to convict, according to my sources.

But from my analysis of the case, it was really this one hold out who was really strong and just refused to look at the evidence. He was starstruck. He just could not vote Guilty.

So, the reality is that juries are starstruck. We’ve seen it time and time agian… even in places where we think it won’t be a problem like Robert Blake.

The Forgotten War

No - not the war on terror - but the war thats going down right here on American soil everyday from courthouses to city streets to schools to beaches and islands to behind closed doors in American homes.

Its THE CRIME WAR… where the prosecutors, District Attornies, victims rights advocates, police officers, and citizens are the soldiers… where the crime victims and families are the people we must set free… and where the killers, predators, attackers, and lawbreakers are the enemies. And we will stop at nothing to hunt down, capture, and put them away. And we will fight to make sure judge’s and juries hand down the appropriate penalty. We will make sure lady justice is not tricked and the punishment fits the crime.

Britney drugged? Paris’ friendly reality, Jessica to Kuwait, Olsens Authors-to-be

Sources tell me that the LA police department is investigating wether or not Britney Spears has been drugged although a formal investigation has not been opened. However, sources tell me that while they are looking into the matter, their is no suspect in mind about who might be the person who drugged Spears.

Media sources are telling me that MTV is eyeing Paris Hilton to star in a new television show. The winner will get to be Paris’ next best friend. About how this would affect her friendship with Nicole Richie… sources close to Paris Hilton told me Nicole is still Paris’ best friend and she will always be like a sister to Paris.

Sources tell me that Jessica Simpson will prefrom along with Filter, DJ Z-Trip, Carlos Mencia, and Distrubed for American forces serving in Kuwait. The event will be broadcast on MySpace and the FX cable station on April 12th.

Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen are writing a duel art fashion book set to be titled "Influence" and published by the Penguin group. The book will include photos, musings about photographers, designers, artists, and various materials from the authors.

Bobby Cutts spared death in Jessie Davis double homicide

February 28, 2008

Dumb jury syndrome strikes agian! Yesterday, Bobby Cutts was sentenced to 57 years in prison for the double homicide of his wife Jessie Davis and her unborn child Chloe. Cutts was spared the death penalty by the jury of 12. Sources tell me the jury foreman quickly decided agianst the death penalty because Cutts had no prior history of violence and believes he did not intentionally kill Davis. Well thats just simply not true because he did have a misdometer from 10 years ago. But even so, Ted Bundy and Scott Peterson had no prior criminal history either and they are still convicted killers. Jessie Davis and her unborn child get the death penalty… but Cutts doesn’t?

Some legal analysts have said they understand the jury’s decision because Cutts lead law enforcement to the body. So what? That doesn’t change the fact that Cutts committed double homicide. It doesn’t change the pain, fear, and terror Jessie was going through as she was being killed. It doesn’t ease the families burden at all. So thats just a rediculous argument. This is simply the opinion of 12 people… I disagree with it.

Very shocking is that one source told me that the jury foreman was agianst the death penalty but would consider it if he had to. Don’t juries have to death penalty juries before getting on death cases?

Larry’s Notebook: Here are some of my notes from watching the testimony at the proceeding yesterday:

"I never wanted to believe you could hurt her, but in my soul I knew you had… There are mornings I have to cover her picture up. I can’t get out of bed." - Jessie Davis’ mother

"Do you know what this feels like?… You don’t. Because you have not lost someone. You got rid of someone who was an inconvenience. I hate you." - Jessie Davis’ sister

"Don’t even look at me… He violently murdered her, five foot four, nine months pregnant, that baby could have delivered," - Jessie Davis’ father

Rest in peace Jessie and baby Chloe.

Urgent: Parents starve baby to DEATH!

Parents Tracy Hermann and James Sargent are charged in Peoria with starving their 5 month year old baby, Benjamin Sargent to death:

This is brutal 1st degree homicide. I’m very pleased to hear that Lyons may seak the death penalty, I would absolutely encourage and push him to do that. You not only need to do it to provide justice to the infant but to send a message to the public that this kind of crime will not be tolerated. I hate bail! They should not be released pending trial… they should be in jail. Its really interesting for me to hear defense attorneys say that these people should be found not guilty because of their "troubled past" and "history of mental illness." They absolutely refuse to let their clients take any responsibilty. It goes back to what I was saying about defense attornies, I just don’t understand how they do what they do. If their fight in the courtroom allowed these parents back on the street to do it agian… I just couldn’t live with myself.

The authorities need to be working around the clock to remove the 3 year old from the home.

Drew Peterson to NYC for another heart to heart with Matt Lauer!

Drew is eating right into our hands! Keep talking honey! I can’t imagine what his defense attorney is thinking. Even I can tell you that you tell your client to be quite. Just like in Scott Peterson, all his interviews can be used agianst him in court. Inconsistant statements can be pointed out by the prosecution. The reality is, even the dating game on the radio will come into court. That will disgust a jury.

With that said, I’m very upset at the law enforcement charged with the prosecution of this case. They are dragging their feat. They have already ruled the 3rd wifes death a homicide… do they have any suspects? Why not charge somebody? They have a body in that case. In Stacy’s case… I don’t care if they don’t have a body because convictions are won in American courthouses everyday without bodies.

The reality is, if they stop dragging their feat and do their jobs… they have a very strong case for double homicide.
